Your 11 yr old has a broken arm, the arm is broken in 2 places. At the E.R. the ortho does NOT come in and set it, instead instructs the E.R. Dr. to just package it until the mother can come into the office, have her call tomorrow.

A long bad night, you call the Orthos office and they dont call you back, you call again and then have the nurse from the E.R. call when they call to check up on you ( Making sure you are still alive I presume!) 3 phone calls and 3 hours later they call you and tell you to come in Friday! ??? ( Smug Biatch that nurse was too!) What is wrong with today ? ( thursday?) They claim no dr. is in the office ( thats B.S. there are 6 Drs. there and wednesday is usually the day off). You know that one Dr. is in because he told the E.R. Dr. to have you call him tomorrow ( meaning today!)

Gilchrist and Corsi said they held their event at Ground Zero to dedicate their book to the families of the September 11 victims.

Tomorrow we get to meet another Dr. since her ortho is out of town! They will cast her then... Why couldn't they do it today? Is Ebay Intimitating Their Sellers?Pulling Ads, Cancelling Auctions, Dumping Categories!

The store owners at feebay or greeedbay as we like to call them are fed up, up in arms, and downright disgusted at the blatant corporate greed going on and admitted squashing and Intimitation of the lil guy.

There is retaliation and intimitation going on all over ebay.

Sellers are fed up with the rate hikes affecting them only with the roll back in exposure for their stores. Many myself included have seen a drop in sales since feb/march when feebay decreased the exposure to stores in listings.
Adding insult to injury is the increase in fees for stuff that don't sell as easily because the buyer doesn't know it is there. The news articles are quoting ceo meg whitman and president bill cobb in their figures of the increase being 6%, but NOONE is stopping to do the math. From 0.03 to 0.05 is not 6% it is almost 100%. from 0.03 to .10 is over 200%. Not including the increase in commossion or Final Value Fee *FVF* from 8% to 10 %. (The percentage of The final Cost of the item sold goes back to feebay.) Plus there is a 16.00 a month charge ( No increase this time) for the stores. That price was raised last year from 9.95 to 16.00.

There were others too...Most of them pulled by ebay because they didnt like them.

Some People were offering legitimate items, so there was NO legal reason ( They weren't breaking the rules) for ebay to pull them.

One owner put up A Can of cat food, (Owner said ebay was taking food from her kitties mouth).

Another put up glass bangle bracelets in ebay colors ( so you can break them).

They were pulled without reason, ebay said the owner was spamming. She sells Glass bangles and offered up a bunch in ebay colors so you can break them if you like ( outta frustration). I asked her today what happen. She said using the KEYWORD "FEE HIKE" was spamming.
Before pulling it down we were at over 12,000 hits, almost 700 watchers and $160 in two days.

I was hit by one of those. In describing a shirt I was selling the dancing kitty looked like the same ballerina kitty from "Hello Kitty" by sanrio brands. However I didnt see sanrios name there and I wasnt sure that it was but it kinda looked like her. In my description I said the cat "looked like hello kitty"...They pulled my auction for keyword spamming (?) this after I was seen and heard in the discussion boards protesting feebays rate increases. Before this I was never hounded by greedbay for anything. I have a 100% perfect record and have never gotten any warnings until I started to say something!

If they wanted to bring the seller out of their stores and back onto the auction floor as many store owners must do just to get seen, they should LOWER the auction fees.
Store owners have to now take on the auction floor for visibility purposes. They also must work at going thru the want it now ( want ads) section to find potential buyers, sometimes hawking their wares, as it were.
For some people who have a diversified store with differnet items that means hours at the PC everyday walking thru the hundreds of listings, looking for potential buyers. Spending hours cross promoting other items on the ad pages. Then once or twice a week for me at least listing some items on the auction block just to get people to find them.

Meanwhile they are Dropping categories. One seller of Equestrian Apparrel said,

" I sell Custom Horse-Show Apparel. They did us real dirty last Sunday and Dumped everyones listings into Mens Athletic."

So what exactly is ebay up to?
While we dont know for sure what exactly is going on behind the scenes, there are shakeups and shakedowns, some major players ( big suits) have left altogether:

There is NO guarantee that his cancer will go away, there is no guarantee he will live through this, what the hell is the problem?

Whether you are a seller or a buyer, it is time to tell ebay we will NOT be Manipulated NO More! Ebay has grown on the backs of the lil guy, and now all that is left are big corporate sellers who charge an arm and a leg for shipping, while ebay looks the other way.

They are raising there rates again against the shop keepers....We get very little exposure, unlike the auctions, and the fees are low because it is harder to sell... Now they are increasing the fees on us lil guys, what was 3 cents to list will now cost 5 and ten cents, and final value fees, what percentage ebay gets on the final sale price is going up too...Ebay NO longer cares about you, and hasn't in a while.
There is also suspicion of stock manipulation going on.

Recently Ebay announced a stock buy back plan.
What better way to manipulate the stocks then to purposely lose money, by losing sellers, then when you take a big loss, and your stocks tank, you buy them back at lower rates, afterwards you do whats left in your business plan to lure sellers and buyers back....thusby increasing your worth again....It is a silly lil power game that corporations play all the time, sometimes it dont work. And I'm thinking it is if not illegal, I know it is ethically Wrong!

6 percent? My ass! I pay about 35-50.00 a month in fees, right now sales are down I am losing money. In order to keep myself visible it is neccessary for me to put stuff on auction once in a while, * bigger Fees* If my stuff sells maybe I might get some exposure and repeat buyers, more often tho I end up losing in auction too, because I am competing with Corporate giants, especially in the Jewlery Dept.

The increase in fees is from 3 cent to 10 cents--6 percent? Um I dont think so, better recheck the math Ebay...7 cents is over 200 percent. Not counting FV FEES. Even at 5 cents it is nearly 100 %.

I have 80 items in inventory at 3 cents each, not including any extras like more then one picture is 15 ea. Thats 24.00 Then I have my paypal fees, my store fees, when I go to auction fees* Auction fees can range from 1.00- 5.00, depending on how elaborate I get how many pictures I use and how many places I list in. ( 1 category or 2)

VACATION TIME..I'M GOING CRAZY!

My daughter and her family have gone to NC this weekend until next week. They took my youngest. I have been having panic attacks, anxiety (separation), and basically been an all around mess, hyperventilating, crying, butterflies, shakes...etc..

I don't know why. I know when my ex- wanted to bring her to fla. he had to bring me back to court to get permission... ( he won but has never taken her!) but I was having a panic situation then too.

My youngest and I have each other, and I guess for me loosing so much in life and then having that bastard and his whore threaten to try and take her from me, really propelled my emotions.

I totally trust her sister ( my oldest) with her. I know she will watch her like a hawk, unlike her father.... but still....Yesterday after they left I wanted to call them and tell them not to go. I was having bad feelings, and fears, images of death, car accidents, life without my kids/ gr.kids....I was feeling so assaulted with these visions they terrified me and nearly drove me crazy. Needless to say I was out of it, all day...Totally out of sync with everything.

All I know is...eating, sleeping, and basically feeeling comfortable is out and will be until she is home again.

Tarrytown, Hawthorne, and parts of southwest conneticut.
It is believed to have started in Rockland County in Grandview.
Although most of the damage has been mininmal, compared to what could have been, it was confined to treetops, toppled trees, signs knocked down, Electrical Wires, and the biggest I seen was a Calif. Closet Manufacturing facility that had it's front of the building completely blown out. No signficant human injury, although one state trooper did take a free ride when the twister picked up his car spun him around a few times and dropped him right side up.

Guaranteed, my ex who lives in westchester, somewhere, is gonna claim he was ,

Man Vandalises Truck for anti-gay message

A guy named Jack Tocco was walking down the street when he came upon a truck parked, that had stickers on it and other signs in the window protesting sodomy and giving biblical references against it as well.

He said the truck spoke hatred and death to the sodomites so he went and bought a can of spray paint and decided to spray paint his own messages on this truck. Meanwhile a woman passerby went and bought a marker and came out to join him. She just started writing on the truck right in front of the cops. She also had to be Physically restrained!

Outcame the owner a 63 yr old white male. He was NOT pleased.

CAROL FISHER RELEASED FROM JAIL!

After spending 5 weeks in jail, Carol Fisher was released from jail this afternoon.

Her arrest, trial, and conviction began when she put up a couple "Bush Step Down" posters on telephone poles in Cleveland Heights on January 29, 2006.

On January 28 2006, Carol was stapling “Bush Step Down” posters on telephone poles on Lee Road at Meadowbrook in Cleveland Heights when she saw a police officer across the street telling her that posting was illegal. She did not know it was illegal. She put away her posters and walked toward her car. When the officer said, "$100 fine unless you take the posters down", she turned back. According to the officer's own testimony, when he told her to take down the posters, she said she would. Before she could reach the telephone pole, the officer approached her, put his hand on her coat sleeve and backed her up against a store window. He asked for ID and she said she did not have ID, thinking it was in her purse in her car. Without further discussion, he grabbed her arm and cuffed one hand. Carol repeated that she would take down the posters, but the officer continued to restrain her, and Carol called out in protest to bystanders.

"Two separate court orders were issued releasing her from the Cuyahoga County Jail, cutting short her....."

Dear Editor,

So many letter writers have based their arguments on how this land is

made up of immigrants. Ernie Lujan for one, suggests we should tear

down the Statute of Liberty because the people now in question aren't

being treated the same as those who passed through Ellis Island and

other ports of entry.



Maybe we should turn to our history books and point out to people like

Mr. Lujan why today's American is not willing to accept this new kind of

immigrant any longer.


Back in 1900 when there was a rush from all areas of Europe to come to

the United States, people had to get off a ship and stand in a long

line in New York and be documented. Some would even get down on their

hands and knees and kiss the ground.. They made a pledge to uphold the

laws and support their new country in good and bad times. They made

learning English a primary rule in their new American households and

some even changed their names to blend in with their new home.


They had waved good bye to their birth place to give their children a

new life and did everything in their power to help their children

assimilate into one culture. Nothing was handed to them. No free

lunches, no welfare, no labor laws to protect them. All they had were

the skills and craftsmanship they had brought with them to trade for a

future of prosperity.



Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out. My

father fought along side men whose parents had come straight over from

Germany, Italy, France and Japan . None of these 1st generation

Americans ever gave any thought about what country their parents had

come from.

They were Americans fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan.


They were defending the United States of America as one people.

When we liberated France, no one in those villages were looking for the

French-American or the German American or the Irish American. The

people of France saw only Americans. And we carried one flag that

represented one country. Not one of those immigrant sons would have

who had sacrificed so much to be here.



These immigrants truly knew what it meant to be an American. They

stirred the melting pot into one red, white and blue bowl.


And here we are in 2006 with a new kind of immigrant who wants the same

rights and privileges. Only they want to achieve it by playing with a

different set of rules, one that includes the entitlement card and a

guarantee of being faithful to their mother country. I'm sorry,

that's not what being an American is all about.



I believe that the immigrants who landed on Ellis Island in the early

1900's deserve better than that for all the toil, hard work and

sacrifice in raising future generations to create a land that has

become a beacon for those legally searching for a better life. I think

they would be appalled that they are being used as an example by those

waving foreign country flags.


And for that suggestion about taking down the Statute of Liberty, it

happens to mean a lot to the citizens who are voting on the immigration

bill. I wouldn't start talking about dismantling the United States just
yet.

Public Schools in raleigh N.C. have been attempting to show sexually explicit film to kids in class......

School officials in Raleigh have refrained from showing a sexually explicit film to schoolchildren without the knowledge and permission of their parents after involvement from an attorney with the Alliance Defense Fund. The film contains sexually explicit scenes, including ones that feature homosexual behavior.

Officials at the Governor’s School in Raleigh advertised the sexually explicit film American History X on its calendar, describing it as an installment of a “Race and Film” series. In spite of repeated assurances by school officials that parents would be notified regarding any sexually-oriented material presented to students, the school did not notify or get permission from parents before attempting to show American History X.

According to Johnson, the General Assembly has “deliberately and expressly placed an emphasis on the importance of parental involvement in curriculum related to human sexuality.” North Carolina statutes specify that parents must give approval for any sexually-oriented materials to be presented to their children in school, and the school must allow for parents to comment on the material before it is shown. Governor’s School officials were not responsive to requests for specific information about curricula and films that may be shown, such as American History X.

The Governor’s School is an elite program for academically gifted high school students. The program runs for six weeks in the summer and is funded by taxpayer dollars.

“Positioning this film as one that is merely about racial tension is extremely misleading,” said Johnson. “It seems clear that school officials have attempted to subject the best and the brightest of local high school students to a sexually-explicit video without their parents’ knowledge or consent, in defiance of state law. We will continue to defend the rights of these families through such action as necessary.”

Last summer the Governor’s School offered a seminar titled “The New Gay Teenager,” and ADF intervened on behalf of a concerned parent (www.telladf.org/news/story.aspx?cid=3692). One of the seminar leaders was later brought up on criminal charges for having sex with a minor student.

Massachusetts high court rules unanimously in favor of voters

In a victory for the rule of law and the voter initiative process, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court today unanimously shut down a legal challenge to a proposed state constitutional amendment defining marriage as one man and one woman. The court ruled that the initiative does not violate the state constitutional prohibition on improper use of the initiative process to intervene in a court case to reverse the verdict. Attorneys with the Alliance Defense Fund defended the proposed amendment on behalf of the citizen group working for a popular vote on the proposed marriage amendment.

“Voters should have a voice when it comes to protecting the true definition of marriage. Today’s ruling is a victory for them. The highest court in the commonwealth of Massachusetts has ruled according to the law and rejected an extreme legal argument pushed by activists,” said ADF Senior Counsel Jordan Lorence, who argued before the court in May in defense of the proposed amendment.

Basically. The people will have a say in defining marriage...... I Hope They can handle that!

The analysis did not reveal the extent of their relationships with industry or whether those ties preceded or followed their work on the manual.

STAR*D Wars Study Failure on Antidepressants

"On March 23, 2006, STAR*D results were major news, front page in the Washington Post. STAR*D, the official acronym for Sequenced Treatment Alternatives to Relieve Depression, was a two-step antidepressant treatment study funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), costing U.S. taxpayers $35 million........."

"But did -- in a scientific sense -- STAR*D treatment work at all? While the Washington Post did point out that STAR*D reveals, “Antidepressants fail to cure the symptoms of major depression in half of all patients with the disease even if they receive the best possible care,” the following went unreported by all major media outlets:

For STAR*D, NIMH hired researchers with extensive financial ties to the pharmaceutical companies that manufacture the antidepressants that were studied....." (CAN YOU SAY COLLUSION?)- comments Mine.....

"STAR*D’s scientific methodology were astonishingly substandard, especially its failure to include a placebo control group. ...."

".....This absence of a placebo control in a treatment effectiveness study is astonishing because it has long been known that sugar pills, other placebos, or any treatment -- including bloodletting -- are routinely reported by some patients as curing their depression......" - ( It is called mind over matter, we are all capable if we believe of healing ourselves!)

".....Today it is well known in the scientific community from several other antidepressant studies that a placebo does as well or better than Celexa’s 27.5 percent success rate in STAR*D. An April 2002 Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) study compared the effectiveness of the antidepressant Zoloft, the herb St. John’s wort, and a placebo in depressed patients. In the JAMA study, the placebo-treated patients had a 31.9 percent rate of remission of symptoms (Zoloft’s remission rate was 24.8 percent and St. John’s wort’s remission rate was 23.9 percent). NIMH and STAR*D researchers ignored the superior placebo remission rate in the JAMA study....."


".....Beyond the lack of a placebo control, there are other reasons that NIMH’s enthusiasm about STAR*D is unjustified. NIMH neglects the well-known phenomenon of spontaneous remission -- the remission of symptoms without any treatment at all...."


".........It gets worse. Depressed people who likely would have been uncured by STAR*D were excluded from the STAR*D study. And it is conceivable that had the STAR*D subjects been sampled from the entire population, STAR*D result may have been worse than a 50 percent remission rate......"


"........Why did NIMH allow itself to be used as, essentially, a promotional tool by the pharmaceutical industry (Big Pharma)?
